Monday.com AI Features — 2026 Review
Monday.com added AI across its Work OS in 2024 and has refined it significantly. The AI features in 2026 cover automated email drafting, formula building, content summarisation, and an AI automation builder that generates workflows from natural language descriptions. After deploying Monday AI for two client accounts over six months, here’s what we found.
AI Automation Builder — The Standout Feature
Describe what you want in plain English (“When a task is overdue by 3 days, notify the assignee and update the status to At Risk”) and Monday’s AI builds the automation. This works about 80% of the time without editing. For non-technical project managers, this is genuinely transformative — automation that previously required support tickets now takes 30 seconds.
AI Formula Builder
Building complex formulas in Monday has always been painful. The AI formula builder is excellent — describe what you need in plain English and it generates the formula syntax. Accuracy is high for common calculations.
AI Text Tools
Monday’s built-in text AI is decent for drafting update messages and summarising board items. Less impressive for long-form document generation — ClickUp Brain edges it here.
Pricing Note
Monday AI requires the Pro plan (£14/user/month) and AI is included rather than a separate add-on. Better value than ClickUp’s add-on model for teams already on Pro.
